Life Goes On

I’ve been experimenting with ideas for this site. In fact, I’m spending too much time experimenting and not enough time just posting, connecting and getting your thoughts. Bear with me. I’m so used to producing to perfection. You know, producing for “air”, the show and all that. I need to just chill and say, hey, let’s try something here and see if you like it. Did you notice the box to your right?  My friend, Peter and I met the folks at Justin.tv a couple weeks ago.  Wait! Come back! Once you go there, you’ll be hooked because you’re watching real people in real time. It’s live, baby.  When we met them, the question on the table was, what can we do together that would be fun and interesting.  First off, I know from different online chat forums that when people find out it’s Carol Lin, former CNN anchor, they joke about getting nervous and needing to watch their spelling in the chat forum. I don’t want you to feel that way. And so I’m going to do something definitely outside the box.  I want to show people what it means to be touched by cancer, yet life goes on. In the coming days, I’m going to post a programming schedule. You are going to meet some really really cool people; survivors defining how life goes on. You’ll be able to chat with them in real time. Although we’re all getting used to the technology so bear with us. We might be so busy dealing with whatever’s going on, that we won’t be able to chat, and feed the cat or coach soccer or run a 10k and text back at the same time! But I promise, whatever you see, it’s in real time.  If I could pick a moment out of my week that says “Life Goes On” for Carol Lin, widow, mother, woman in transition, it would be breakfast time in my crazy house. The cat comes in, the dog goes out, the kid gets fed and I’m trying to figure out how to go from pj’s to passable. Gotta take the kid to school.  Come to carollinreporting.com. Look for my “tv box” in the right corner. Click on the play button and watch how life goes on. I hope you’ll like it!  (If I’m really brave, I’ll start Wednesday morning  Oct.  17TH–10a edt, 7a pacific) If you want to talk with me, click on the chat feature. I’ll do my best between cereal and coffee to tap out a hi there!

Carpe diem.

I’ll start off your comments — no one would expect anything less of the mad JTV blogger anyway.

It was nice to see you on the channel bar this morning. Michael mentioned it in a chat room as couple of weeks ago and I was happy to hear that we would soon be seeing a new content-based channel.

Your topic is an important one — I am not sure there are many people out there that haven’t been touched in some way by cancer. What you are planning to do here is going to be great!

    Thanks,
    Justopia (Mad JTV Blog Hog)

I want to also say the same things that Justopia said this afternoon on JTV.

It’s great to see a person who has status do something different and do something that lets us see a small part of your life.

I hope you stay on JTV because your light is bright and people can’t help but get to know you.

    Take care,

    Jayson
