I believe that journalism is a powerful tool for change.
I believe that stories can empower and enrich.
Let’s ask the questions no one else is asking.
By doing so, we can change the lives of cancer patients and their families with news, community and online tools that support patients and their caregivers in the same way that a global news network supported me and my family.
My name is Carol Lin.
Carol Lin is a journalist who served as news anchor for CNN, national correspondent for ABC’s “Good Morning America” and reported for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. She has been honored with numerous awards for her work, including three Los Angeles Press Club Awards and the National IMAGE Award.

Dear Carol Lin,
My name is Lisa, and I am currently attending college to become a Nurse specializing in Oncology. I am very aware of how cancer can affect a family, my father passed away from spindle cell sarcoma a very rare type of cancer in 2001. He was diagnosed in late January of 01 and passed in March of 01. My Father was never sick a day in his life so I am glad in a way that his suffering was not prolonged but sad that he is no longer with me.
I believe you are an inspiration to so many people because of all that you have been through and dealt with. I am taking a speech class this semester and I am writing an appreciation speech for you. I would love if I could ask you some questions reguarding your past experiences and accomplishments. Again thank you for creating an outlet for people dealing with such a horrible disease. I look forward to hearing back from you
Lisa J.
